Pont Alexandre III was inaugurated for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, is a work of art and monument in its own right, and connects the Seine’s two banks at the heart of Paris. It is also a stone’s throw from several other Olympic venues including the Grand Palais, Invalides, Champ-de-Mars and Concorde, and will provide a majestic setting for the individual cycling time trials, swimming marathon and triathlon.

Getting there
- Metro 8 and 13, Train RER C - "Invalides" station, then 650 m walk to reach the venue
- Metro 1 and 9 - "Franklin D.Roosvelt" station, then 700 m walk to reach the venue
- Train RER C - "Pont de l'Alma" station, then walk 800m to reach the venue (only for triathlon)
Legacy Paris 2024
The temporary stands will be set up near Pont Alexandre III for the Paris 2024 Games and dismantled after them. The bridge will remain one Paris’ best-know landmarks.
