CONI's planning for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games continues. The Director of Olympic Preparation, Alessio Palombi, and his staff, together with the General Secretaries of FITAV, Mario Magnanini, and UITS, Walter De Giusti, visited the Centre National de Tir Sportif in Chateauroux, which will host the fixed target and clay target shooting events for Paris 2024. Welcoming the Italian delegation were the Secretary General of the Fédération Française de Tir, Patrick Gris, and the centre's Deputy Director, Christophe Desfrançois. The inspection of the facility served to check the progress of work on one of the largest international shooting ranges, located about 270 km south of Paris, and to assess the various logistical options for the accommodation of athletes and technicians, in preparation for the visit of the technical directors of target shooting and volleyball. In September of last year, CONI officials, along with various technical directors from other disciplines, visited the Olympic Village and the different areas in Paris where the competition and training facilities are concentrated.
