Biography
Born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, at the age of 20 he moved to Spain, where he played for various clubs and obtained Spanish citizenship. He participated in the Rio 2016 Games under the Spanish flag, then became an Italian citizen thanks to his grandparents' origins. In addition to water polo, his other great passion is football. He has a tattoo dedicated to Newell's Old Boys, the same team supported by fellow Rosario native Lionel Messi, which he manages to follow even now that he lives in Italy, despite the time difference. The call of the water, however, has always been stronger than anything else, even leaving his homeland to play in Europe and separating from his family, which includes 11 siblings, three of whom play water polo just like him. A left-handed attacker with long curly hair, he quickly became a mainstay of Campagna. After three world and one European podiums, he now does not want to betray the trust placed in him at Paris 2024, where for the first time in his career he wants to secure an Olympic medal.
