Biography
She initially considered a career as a dancer or ice skater. She was seduced by water polo in seventh grade, at the urging of her older sister Elena (a goalkeeper) and her teammates' parents. In 2008, she joined the senior national team and quickly became one of the mainstays of the Setterosa team, with which she won silver in Rio 2016 plus two world bronze medals and two European bronze medals. In the pool, as well as defending with energy and physicality, she is also very effective in the offensive zone, where she boasts a high scoring percentage. Outside the competition field, she devotes herself to her family and loves travelling and discovering new realities. Stepping into Paris 2024, she carries the familiar vigour that has characterised her journey, recognising the inherent unpredictability of sports, where every outcome remains uncertain.
