Biography

She began with synchronised swimming but soon decided to follow in the footsteps of her father Renato, a former water polo forward at Recco, Chiavari and La Spezia. Single-minded and ruthless, in 2016 with her goals she was one of the absolute protagonists in the Setterosa's ride to the silver medal at the Rio de Janeiro Games. Her achievements, among other things, include a European title, as well as two world bronze medals, the last one clinched in the summer of 2023 in the pool of Fukuoka. She possesses a high school diploma and in her spare time she enjoys reading and watching films, above all those of her favourite actors: Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. As an authentic Ligurian she loves cooking, in particular pasta in walnut sauce and fish dishes. After years of cups, medals and prestigious achievements, however, she does not want to set herself any limits and is now looking forward to finding out what Paris 2024 has in store for her.
