Biography
He practically grew up in the pool. In fact, his older brothers are all three water polo players and follow in the family profession, since their father Franco is a former A1 player, protagonist of Pescara's hat-trick (Scudetto, Champions and Supercoppa) and now coach. Their mother, Monica, on the other hand, is a swimming teacher. Outstanding performances and precocious talent immediately saw him emerge. At the age of 16 he was called up by the junior national team, with which he won two European Championships and a World Championship. He then joined the Settebello and Pro Recco, the most successful club in the world. The world championship gold medal in 2019 saw him take centre stage. In Korea, not surprisingly, he was awarded the tournament's best player. Only one thing is missing to crown a perfect career: Olympic gold in Paris 2024.
