Biography
He grew up in Naples in a neighbourhood that was all about football. He, however, chose to combine the ball with water and immediately understood that it was the right choice. Wearing the blue cap, he triumphed at the World Championships in Gwangju in 2019, the crowning achievement of a journey that began at the Rio 2016 Games, where he took the bronze medal. In the pool, he is a willing defender, also adept at seizing opportunities in the offensive zone. Off the field, however, he is also a committed young man on the academic side. Spurred on by his parents' advice, indeed, he has managed to achieve another valuable goal: a law degree. His wish is that water polo can make the quantum leap, becoming media-savvy and enthusing more and more people. In Paris 2024 all the spotlights will be on and the opportunity, for him and his teammates, is definitely one not to be missed.
