Biography
It was not easy to take the place of an icon of Stefano Tempesti's calibre defending the Settebello goal. After years of being on the bench and waiting, however, he has now become the mainstay of the national team. Already a recipient of two European bronze medals and the Olympic bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Games, he attained his greatest achievement with the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships in Korea. There, he showcased confidence, delivering crucial and inspiring performances. Born in Tarquinia but raised in Civitavecchia in the ASD Cosernuoto, he is married to Alessandra and in the future he would like to coach children. In the meantime, however, with the red cap on his head he is already thinking of Paris 2024, where he dreams of continuing to collect successes and winning an Olympic medal as a protagonist.
