Biography
His passion for swimming did not start immediately. Until eighth grade, in fact, he also played football. He showed greater talent in the water than on the pitch and eventually, thanks to his father, decided to pour all his energy into the pool. In 2015 he got his first call-up with the national team. Over the years, he specialised in the 200 freestyle and was an indispensable part of the relay team, where he repeatedly earned the satisfaction of making the podium at European level. His journey of development has put all his ambitions on display. Outside the pool he is a student of Business Administration, and in the future he would like to take over the running of his family's publishing company. Greatly attached to the vineyards and olive groves of Chianti and a fanatic of Japanese culture, his motto is “Living in a sea of dreams waiting for the big wave”. And that opportunity – equally important but unique compared to others – he hopes not to miss in Paris 2024.
