Biography
After Rio 2016 she became the captain of the Farfalle (Butterflies): at 27 years old she was the veteran of the group in her third participation in the Olympic Games. She narrowly missed the podium in Brazil, achieving her goal in Tokyo by clinching the bronze medal. She is enrolled at the University in the Faculty of Institutional and Corporate Communication. She has an innate passion for fashion and – when she is not training – loves going out and shopping. Her idol has always been Pietro Mennea, who she had the chance to meet and who told her the phrase that she has been repeating ever since about enduring all the sacrifices her sport requires: “Work pays off”.
