Biography

Reserved and mild-mannered, she may seem just like anyone else, but once she mounts the bike – be it on the track or the road – it is clear that she is an extraordinary talent. A three-time world junior champion in 2016 – in omnium, team pursuit and road racing – she moved into the elite categories the following year, alternating between competing in the top category, including the world championships in Bergen, and studying for her secondary school diploma. In the early stages of her still-young career, she achieved significant results on the track, promptly establishing herself among the elite in Europe and securing a bronze in the team pursuit at the 2018 World Championships in Apeldoorn. Three years later, her definitive breakthrough came when she won two medals at the World Championships in Roubaix (silver in the team pursuit and bronze in the madison), culminating in the remarkable gold triumph in the road race at the World Championships in Flanders. A graduate of Modern and Contemporary Literature in Turin, she also attended a music academy and played piano for 10 years: music, literature and cycling are now part of her DNA.
