Biography
Rowing runs in Vincenzo Abbagnale’s blood. His father, Giuseppe, is a legend in the sport, in his trophy cabinet are two Olympic gold and silver medals and ten world medals, seven of them in the most prestigious metal. Vincenzo carved his own path, winning the World Championship in the coxed pair in China in 2013 and securing a European bronze in the eight in Germany in 2022. This eight will be his vessel for a second Olympic experience, following his eleventh-place finish in the coxless pair at Tokyo 2020. Passionate about music, he has embraced a life filled with sports, including football, table tennis, swimming, and volleyball.
