Biography
Everyone calls him “Rambo”, and he shares a strong and determined character with the iconic character of the film. He became a rower by chance, when at the age of nine he found a flyer advertising courses on the Po and his parents urged him to sign up. He loves the mountains and being outdoors and cultivates another sporting passion, cycling, which like rowing involves a lot of hard work and contact with nature. His sporting idol is Lindsey Vonn for how she overcame injuries before returning to competition even stronger than before, as he was also able to do after back problems. In Tokyo he made his Olympic debut by finishing fifth in quadruple sculls, and in Paris 2024 he will try to make a big impression with Matteo Sartori in double sculls.
