Biography
Growing up in a family where almost everyone played golf, Alessandra Fanali decided to leave swimming at the age of 10 and switch to the greens. After six seasons of playing alone, she joined the National Team. Her most notable amateur achievement in an Italian jersey came in 2016 when she won the European Team Championship. Her strengths lie in her driving and short game around the greens, but she aims to bring all aspects of her play to the same high level. Golf has given her the opportunity to travel the world and earn a scholarship to Arizona State University in Phoenix, where she graduated with a degree in Sport Business in 2022. That same year, she finished second at the Ladies Italian Open, narrowly missing out in a playoff. Two years later, she once again took the runner-up spot at the Magical Kenya Open, results that boosted her world ranking and opened the doors to 'Le Golf National' and the Paris 2024 Games.
