Biography
Born in Florida to a Bolognese father, Alex Sorgente spent his childhood between the USA and Italy, often spending summers with his family in Bologna. He fell in love with skateboarding after watching a friend, preferring it over surfing, mountain biking, and motocross, passions he still pursues. Growing up in West Palm Beach under the guidance of skateboarding legend Mike Rogers, he quickly attracted sponsors, enabling him to chase his dream: becoming a park skateboarding champion. Between 2017 and 2018, Sorgente won back-to-back titles at the X-Games in Minneapolis, a prestigious event for extreme sports, and finished third in 2019. That same year, 'Sorge' placed 11th at the World Championships in São Paulo, his best finish in a world event. At Paris 2024, his goal remains what it has been since childhood: to skate as much as possible.
