Biography
Camilla Moroni was introduced to climbing by her parents, who often took her to cliffs from a young age. She began climbing rocks at Finale Ligure almost as a game and started indoor gym training at 12, eventually turning professional and joining the National Team. Her specialty is the combined event, where she best showcases her strengths: explosive power and dynamism. In 2021, she won silver in Moscow, becoming the first to reach the world bouldering podium. She greatly admires Arianna Fontana, the multiple Olympic champion in short track speed skating, for her grit and determination. A Biotechnology student at the University of Genoa, Moroni loves both the Ligurian sea and the mountains, being an avid skier. In early 2024, she finished second at the Keqiao bouldering event, earning her first World Cup podium. Humble and tenacious, she often manages to shine when it counts most, and these qualities could see her fly high in Paris too.
