Biography
He began playing at the age of four on the asphalt court at his grandfather's house. Coming from a family of tennis players, he was forged by the wise advice of his father Davide, who raised him on a diet of videotapes of Rafter, Sampras and Rusedski. Although he is also an excellent singles player, he achieved the greatest results of his career in doubles, which allowed him to fully exalt his best weapon: his serve and volley game. With Simone Bolelli in 2024, he reached the final at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros, while at the Internazionali he was stopped only in the penultimate round, results that opened the doors of the top ten in doubles for him. His idol is Roger Federer, but he also follows the NBA a lot, particularly the games of the Los Angeles Lakers. Outside of tournaments, he has many other hobbies: from reading to cinema to music. Nicknamed 'Wave', he wants to continue riding the crest of his wave at the Paris Games as well.
