Biography
He was born in Villa Gesell, a town in the province of Buenos Aires, and is the son of Gino, one of the best Argentine tennis players in the late 1980s. He also has a younger brother, class of 2008, named Vito, a professional like him and winner of the 2023 EYOF in Maribor. Around the age of 10, he settled permanently in Europe, deciding to represent Italy by virtue of his dual passport thanks to his paternal grandfather, who emigrated to South America after World War II. Raised idolising Juan Martín del Potro, whose willpower and resilience he admires, after years of apprenticeship in minor tournaments, he took the spotlight in 2024, in which he triumphed on the red clay of Cordoba (his first ATP title) and became a fixture in the world's top 50 ranking. In his free time, he divides his time between Netflix, cinema and reggaeton, and is a great lover of sand and sea. Forged on clay courts, in Paris he will be a force to be reckoned with.
