Biography
Born in Como, Jacopo honed his sporting skills at the historic SC Lario. Before making his mark in the senior national team, he had a flourishing youth career. Notably, he boasts two U23 world championship bronzes, in the coxless four (2017) and the coxed four (2018). A seven-time Italian champion, upon moving to the senior level, he transitioned to the eight, with which he narrowly missed the podium twice at the European Championships. When not in the gym or on the water, he follows various other sports: basketball, skiing, Formula 1, and football, where he is a passionate supporter of Juventus. A tattoo and travel enthusiast, in May 2024, he was one of the key Italian figures at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, where he was part of the largest Italian crew, securing a berth for Paris 2024.
