Biography
Born in Sorengo, a small Swiss town in the Ticino canton, Nicholas Kohl made his debut with the Italia Team in 2018 at the U23 World Championships. In the following year’s edition, he clinched a bronze medal in the coxless four. Nicholas boasts a stellar college career; from 2019 to 2023, he studied Engineering at Syracuse University, playing a pivotal role in the advancement of their varsity eight. After graduating, he had the opportunity to pursue a Master's in Water Science, Policy, and Management at Oxford but chose to focus entirely on his goals with the Italy squad. Since early 2024, he has been a member of the Italian coxless four, securing a World Cup victory in Varese and a silver medal at the European Championships in Szeged. In his leisure time, he enjoys cycling, relaxing with music, or playing video games. At Paris 2024, he fulfils his twin dreams: rowing at the Olympics for the first time and proudly representing Italy.
