Biography
His journey into fencing began unexpectedly, sparked by his two elder brothers noticing his natural knack for executing sabre strikes during an ordinary afternoon of gaming on the Nintendo Wii. His parents, therefore, decided to accompany him to Fides, a springboard towards goals that would have been impossible for them to imagine. Competition and adrenalin run through his veins. In his private life, he likes to relax listening to music, from Mina to the latest hits, but not in the arena, where he wants to savour the atmosphere and the positive energy right up to the last moment before stepping onto the piste. After a success-studded career at youth level, including individual silver medals at the Youth World Championships and the Cadet European Championships and the Italian U20 and U23 titles, he reached his peak at senior level at the 2022 World Championships in Cairo where, together with his teammates, he won bronze in the team event. His goal for Paris 2024 is to elevate his performance to new levels.
