Biography
Under the guidance of Andrea Cavalletti, he honed his sporting skills within Team Marche. A middle-distance specialist, he showed off his talents between September 2022 and July 2023, when he played a key role in the gold medals won by the Italian 4x200 freestyle relay team at the World Championships and European Junior Championships respectively. Just two months later, he confirmed his status at the world championship level in Netanya, earning silver in both the 200 and 400 freestyle events, alongside a bronze in the 200 butterfly. A down-to-earth young man with a level-headed approach, he received his first senior-level national team call-up from head coach Cesare Butini for the 2024 World Championships in Doha, which marked his debut on the international stage. There, alongside his teammates in the 4x200 freestyle relay, he secured Italy a quota place for the Summer Games in Paris. Before the Games, he won two gold medals (400m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle) at the European Junior Championships in Vilnius. Now he can only focus on his five-ring debut.
