Biography
She is one of the brightest stars in the firmament of Italian sport. She made her first judo moves at the age of five, driven by the desire to play alongside her cousin and imitate him. She grew up in Scampia in instructor Gianni Maddaloni's gym. At the age of 13, she decided never to leave the tatami again and to continue to suffer and work to achieve something greater. Small in stature but with an immense heart, in 2021 she gained the satisfaction of winning the world title at junior level. She soon transitioned to the senior category, where she stood on the third step of the world podium two times in a row. She belongs to the evangelical church and for her, faith is the hope that everything will get better. Before competitions she relaxes by listening to music or drawing cartoons or caricatures on her tablet. Wearing Olympic gold around her neck is her biggest dream and she is looking forward to trying to achieve it in Paris 2024.
