Biography
He was born and grew up in Cecina and is very attached to his Tuscan origins. For some years now, he has been based between Rome and Ostia where, among others, he trains with champions of the calibre of Gregorio Paltrinieri and Domenico Acerenza. A resilient and reactive young man, he loves to toil in open water over long distances. Budapest holds a special place in his heart, as it's where he earned the European bronze medal in the 5 km in 2021 and, more significantly, secured a sensational world championship gold in the 25 km the following year. He has always combined his sporting activity with his studies and graduated from the University of Pisa with a degree in Economics with a focus on logistics. In his spare time, he loves padel and surfing, as well as following the matches of his beloved Inter, a passion passed on to him by his uncle Vincenzo. In February 2024, he took the limelight at the Qatar World Cup in Doha, where he gave Italia Team an Olympic pass for the Paris Games.
