Biography
She approached the world of sport at around the age of two thanks to artistic gymnastics. Her mother, indeed, is a teacher of the discipline. She learned to love diving by watching television and decided to take acrobatics from the gym to the platform. The choice proved productive. In 2018, “Maia the Bee” became European champion in the girls' category, and in 2019, she won the European bronze in the synchro in the junior category. In the same year, she earned her first call-ups with the senior national team, narrowly missing out on the podium at both the European Games in Rome in 2022 and the European Games in Krakow in 2023. A shy and reserved girl, in her spare time she loves reading, listening to music and going to the cinema. At the age of 20, she will compete in Paris 2024, aiming to cement her position among the elite.
