Biography
She was born in Trento, far from the sea. Yet water is her natural element, the one she has carried with her since she was very small. She fell in love with cross-country swimming at Lake Caldonazzo where, at only thirteen years of age, she competed in her first 10 km race, a distance in which she can boast a European and a world bronze medal. Radiating with joy and a penchant for companionship, she made history in September 2020 by becoming the first woman ever to conquer the Capri-Naples marathon, a breathtaking aquatic challenge where she outpaced even her male counterparts. In her spare time, she enjoys going out with friends, reading and listening to the songs of Edoardo Bennato. At the beginning of 2023, she emerged triumphant from the longest cross-country race of her life, the one she undertook in order to overcome her problems with myocarditis. In a short time she felt like an athlete again, savouring the emotions of the podium in both the LEN Cup and the World Cup. In Paris 2024, she wants to fight to fulfil her biggest dreams, temporarily shelved but never, in reality, put aside for good.
