Biography
Initially she practised synchronised swimming. She became passionate about water polo at the age of five, watching the games of her father Daniele, a former high-level player with Bogliasco and Pro Recco and currently coach of the men's team in Trieste in A1. Her sporting heroes are former Austrian racing driver Niki Lauda and Tania Di Mario, former captain of the Setterosa and president of Ekipe Orizzonte Catania. In the summer of 2023 she was one of the pillars of the national team in winning bronze at the World Championships in Fukuoka. Adding to her list of achievements is another third-place finish, achieved at the European Championships in Split just a year prior. Outside the pool, she is curious and loves to read detective books or true stories, always in the field of crime. Sacrifice, dedication, passion and attachment, on the other hand, are the values that animate her in the pool and in training. She is superstitious and before every match her ritual is to drink a coke. In view of Paris 2024, however, she is not afraid to reveal her goal: an Olympic podium.
