Biography
With water polo it was love at first sight. Once he entered the water of Fermo's municipal swimming pool, he never came out again. Or rather, he did at the age of 13, when he was identified as a young talent and left his mother Maria and father Alberto to try to build a career as a leading light in the sport. Right from the start, he showed himself to be a modern centre-back, skilled both in shooting from outside and in defence. These characteristics made him a permanent member of the national team, with which he won two world silver medals and a European bronze medal. Amidst numerous sacrifices, he managed to earn a degree in Civil Engineering while cherishing his wife and daughter, Adele, who stood by him as his biggest supporters despite all the commitment and relocations. One day, once he has hung up his cap, he wants to return to the Marche region to pass on his love for the sport to new generations. First, however, he wants the reward of a podium finish at the Paris 2024 Games, the first time he has participated in an Olympic event.
