Biography
She fell in love with fencing on the couch at home in 2008, watching the hits landed by Italian Matteo Tagliarol. She trained at Circolo Castelfranco Veneto, and the first to notice her potential was Giuseppe Tagliarol himself, father of the Olympic gold medallist in individual epee at the Beijing Games. She shares her love of the sport with her older brother Michel, who is an athletic trainer by trade; she also has two other elder sisters. Her busy life sees her combining international competitions with her legal studies. In the little free time she has, she loves seeing her friends and listening to music, especially rap and trap. Her shy and reserved nature in her personal life is at odds with the ferocity she displays when she attacks on the piste. Despite her young age, she has already achieved a great deal. The highlight came in the summer of 2023 at the World Championships in Milan, where she won bronze in the individual and gold in the team event. Youth Olympic runner-up in the individual and Olympic champion in the mixed team in Buenos Aires 2018, she now wants a podium finish in Paris 2024 as well, where she dreams of emulating the exploits of Italy's multiple Olympic medallist in foil, Valentina Vezzali, her idol since childhood.
