Biography
A nature lover, he became curious about this discipline when he saw other kids training on Lake Candia. Then on his way he met Misha Vartolomei, a past world and European champion with Romania, who appreciated his potential and taught him everything, above all to never give up. Following the advice of his coach, Gabriele established himself at youth level by winning the under-23 World title several times. In the new Olympic distance of the C-2 500 he won gold at the European Games in Krakow 2023 paired with Carlo Tacchini, a fellow Piedmontese athlete. In the future he wishes to graduate in Sports Science, but first he will be working on how he can impress in Paris 2024.
