Biography
Germany-born but Italian by marriage. As a child, following her mother’s passion, she decided to try swimming too, but as a nature lover, preferred the panorama offered by canoeing, her true passion. With a degree in Food Science and Technology, she has featured among the K1 slalom elite for years, always ready to cary the day: already three times on the podium at the European Championships (including her 2022 triumph in Slovakia), she also slotted in well with the new Olympic specialty of kayak cross, in which she clinched bronze in June 2023 at the European Games in Krakow. An athlete characterised by consistent performance, her goal in Paris will be to reaffirm her progress and improve on the fourth place achieved in Tokyo 2020.
