Biography
Sailing grants her freedom and autonomy, enabling her to make the right choices, at sea as well as in life. She first experienced these sensations even as a newborn on the family boat. She began in Optimist, racing for a short time under the flag of Slovenia, where she also holds citizenship. Next came the move to 420 and then FX, first in the role of bowman and then at the helm. Alongside her partner Giorgia Bertuzzi, she has forged a connection that extends beyond the sporting to the personal. This positive energy spills over into their professional careers, the highlights of which were the World U23 gold and European bronze medals obtained between 2021 and 2022 in Gdynia and Aarhus, respectively. Their partnership reached its zenith at the European Championships in Vilamoura in November 2023, where they clinched both silver and a coveted pass for Paris 2024. Then, in addition, the world bronze in Lanzarote a few months before the Olympics.
