Biography
She was born in Tunisia but came to Italy when she was 18 months old. Together with her family, she settled in San Prisco (Caserta) where, thanks to her cousin, she discovered a love of boxing at the age of five. Her career, at least initially, was hampered by not having Italian citizenship. A few successes in national competitions and several call-ups for Azzurri training camps were offset by the impossibility of competing for Italy in international events. Then came the phone call – the acceptance of her citizenship documents by the Prefecture, and that burning desire to return to the ring to pursue the dream of Paris 2024. A humble and smiling girl, in March 2023 she proved her remarkable qualities by winning the silver medal at the World Championships in New Delhi in the 52 kg category.
