Biography
Luca De Tullio was first taken to the pool by his parents between the ages of four and five, along with his brother Marco, who has long been in the Italian National Team. Although he briefly diverted to football, basketball, and karate, his passion for swimming rekindled, shaping a beautiful story. Outgoing and affectionate, he progressed rapidly after early regional successes. Specialising in speed, he won a bronze medal in the 800m freestyle at the 2021 Junior European Championships, repeating this feat two years later in the U23 Championships at both the 800m and 1500m events. He also claimed another bronze in the 400m at the 2022 Mediterranean Games. In June 2024, he set a personal best (7:45.80) in the 800m at the Settecolli meet in Rome, securing his place in the Italy team for the Games. With his sights set on Paris, he is ready to compete with the world's best.
