Biography
After his experience in Rio 2016 in the 49er class together with Pietro Zucchetti, the 29-year-old is now competing in the Nacra 17 class alongside crew-mate Caterina Banti. The Trentino helmsman was one of the first to get involved with foils, abandoning fast skiff and venturing onto mixed catamaran. He found his sailing alter ego in Caterina with an immediately winning chemistry. In a brief period, they have enriched their trophy haul with four European and three world titles. The latest world championship win secured in Holland in August 2023 allowed them to clinch their pass for Paris 2024, where they intend to inscribe another memorable page in Olympic history after the gold medal won in Tokyo 2020.
