Biography
After placing 5th in London 2012 and 24th in Rio de Janeiro 2016, the Sardinian marksman is once again chasing the dream of an Olympic medal. With a degree in Biological Sciences from the Università di Sassari and an athlete of the Italian army’s Centro Sportivo Olimpico since December 2011, he started clay target shooting at the age of seven at his family’s shooting range (his father Paolo was his first coach). His honours include two European titles (Sarlospuszta 2014 and Maribor 2015) and four World Cup wins (Tucson 2014, Lahti and Al Ain 2019, and Lonato 2022). He dedicates his free time to hunting, fishing, running and basketball. The Italian from Ozieri never stops. And now he is ready for the Olympics challenge of Paris 2024 having clinched his quota place by winning silver at the European Championships in Larnaca 2022.
