Biography
At five years old, his father Francesco, a passionate amateur, placed a tennis racket in his hand: from that day on, it became his faithful companion, accompanying him on his adventures. Despite his young age, he already boasts the record of a prodigy: the first ever Italian to win the Australian Open Juniors title (2019) as well as the fifth to win an U18 Grand Slam after Barazzutti, Nargiso, Gaudenzi and Quinzi. His idol is Roger Federer and, just like the Swiss ace, he has a one-handed backhand, with which he makes fans' eyes sparkle all over the world. In his trophy cabinet are two ATP titles, both won in 2022 in Hamburg (clay) and Naples (outdoor hard) respectively, in addition to the Davis Cup he secured in 2023 while wearing the Italian jersey. In July 2024 he reaches the semifinal on grass at Wimbledon, his best career result at Slam level. In his free time, he also follows the NBA and football a lot, being a big fan of LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers and Juventus, and he loves listening to music and dabbling in the kitchen. In Paris, he is ready to gift some new signature strokes.
