Biography
Born in Magenta, her father's hometown. In reality, she is a true Milanese and lives in the San Siro area, where she trains at the XXV Aprile field and the Trenno park. In 1998, she took up race walking, captivated by the technical movement and without trying any other disciplines. She made her mark at the junior level with four Italian titles won between 2003 and 2004. Already part of the Azzurra team at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, she returned to the national squad in 2013 after a difficult period and, with determination, began to improve on her personal bests at all distances. In 2018, she broke the one-and-a-half-hour barrier (1:29:57) for the first time in the 20km event at the European Championships in Berlin. She improved again in 2022, when she finished fifth and eighth at the European and World Championships, respectively. In April 2024, she achieved the greatest satisfaction of her career in Antalya, where she led Italy to the top step of the podium in the mixed relay at the World Team Championships. Two months later, she celebrated with the European silver medal in the 20km in Rome, setting a personal best (1:28.37). A graduate in Tourism and Local Community Sciences, she loves to travel and is passionate about cinema. Having already starred in the Tokyo 2020 edition, in Paris she wants to film a new scene in her Olympic story.
