Biography

Originally from Friuli, she now lives in Foggia, where she trains under master Benedetto Buenzo. Having grown up in the Gemina Scherma gym in San Giorgio di Nogaro, she discovered the sport through television, watching on the sofa with her father the victory of former Italian sabre fencer Aldo Montano at the 2004 Athens Games. She came to international prominence at the 2019 Universiade in Naples, where she won individual bronze and team gold in sabre. At senior level, her most prestigious success came in 2022 when, together with her colleagues from the national team, she managed to climb onto the second step of the European podium. A student of Psychology at the University of Trieste and an avid AC Milan fan, her idols are former Rossoneri players Paolo Maldini, Andriy Shevchenko and Ricardo Kaká. An eternal talent forged by discipline and driven by a constant desire to learn from both teammates and opponents, Paris 2024 represents an opportunity that is to good to miss.
