Biography

Fencing is a family affair. He was raised with the wise advice of his brothers Raffaello (bronze in the team sabre at Atlanta 1996) and Leonardo Caserta, who have different surnames but the same DNA and a similar passion for the piste. He grew up breathing the sea air of Naples and the pillars of his life are sport and friendship. The sabre is his favourite means of expression, albeit not forgetting his education. He is a law student at the Luiss University in Rome and manages to combine lessons with his immense talent, thanks to which he managed to grab the headlines for the first time in 2014 with his two gold medals at the U20 World Championships in Bulgaria. From the following year, he began to embellish his trophy cabinet with his first international medals at senior level, becoming a splendid certainty for the national team and crowning his journey with team silver in Tokyo 2020. A lover of surfing and Rafael Nadal's tennis, he also finds time for films in his spare time. But he is saving his dream ending for Paris 2024.
