Biography
In Paris 2024, she is ready for her fourth Olympic experience. Yet another stage in a career that began in her native Livorno, in the club founded by Italian fencing icon Nedo Nadi. Sabre has marked her life since she was eight years old, the age at which she began practising it with her brother Giulio. On the piste she also met her current husband, former Italian sabre fencer Marco Ciari. Among her many placings at international level, her world gold and two European titles in the team trials stand out. With a degree in Political Science from the University of Pisa, mother of little Gregorio and a lover of travel and new adventures, she certainly won’t be going to France as a tourist: and there is still plenty of time before she decides what to do when she “grows up”.
