Biography
The Fiamme Oro (sports division of the state police) epee fencer has an enviable CV: it includes world and European achievements in several youth classes, from Under-17 to Under-20 and Under-23, up to an Olympic podium finish in Rio 2016 and world (2022 and 2023) and European (2022) triumphs as an adult. Born in Foligno, he has always retained strong ties to his homeland, so much so that in the past he has found an additional incentive to give his all on the piste: for every hit landed by the Umbrian athlete, the "Una stoccata per l'Umbria" project donated €1 to Foligno’s Croce Bianca organisation, which provides aid to the public. A huge rock music fan, he lists Pink Floyd and Radiohead as his favourite bands. He also loves photography.
