Biography
She took up sport by first practising shooting before choosing boxing, thereby following in her father's footsteps and going along with her brother's preference. She began to work towards her dream between 2014 and 2015, when she placed a gold medal around her neck, first at the European Junior Championships, and then at the World Youth Championships. A double success that gave her strength and served to fuel her ambitions. In 2019, she secured two more important results at international level – a double silver (a European and world championship) that sealed her entry to the sport’s elite. To everyone, she is “Tiger”, the nickname given to by her beloved father, a former policeman who for many years was confined to a wheelchair after an accident in the line of duty, and who passed away after her return from the Tokyo 2020 Games. An athlete impossible to tame and a woman full of passion, she loves her family and gives her all in the pursuit of her dreams. For her, qualification for Paris 2024 is just a stepping stone: her goal is to step into that ring and try to win.
