Biography

Her journey through the world of sports, which she has always shared with her twin sister Asia, started with acrobatic dance, before she decided to shift towards artistic gymnastics at the age of 7. Before joining the Brixia, she graduated from the historic Società Ginnastica Andrea Doria in Genoa. Alice immediately showed great potential, but not everything proved to be so easy. Indeed, at the junior level her career was undermined by injuries, first to the knee and then to the ankle, limiting her performance. However, having been summoned to the team for the youth competitions in Gyor in 2017 (EYOF) and Glasgow in 2018 (Junior Europeans), her individual performance was finally acknowledged at the Senior European Championships in Szczecin in 2019, where she was judged best of the gymnasts of Italy’s new generation: fourth in the overall competition and a bronze medal in the asymmetrical parallel bars, her favourite apparatus. Later, at the world championship in Stuttgart, she was part of the team which, after 69 years, brought Italy back to the podium of the general competition. European champion with the national team in Munich in 2022 and in the asymmetrical parallel bars in Antalya in 2023 and in Rimini in 2024 (and with the team), she will be in Paris to win her first Olympic medal.
