Biography
He began practising taekwondo at the age of eight under the encouragement of his father, who decided to take him to the New Marzial gym. There he grew up under the guidance of Roberto Baglivo, known for being the instructor of Carlo Molfetta, also from Puglia and winner of gold at the London 2012 Olympics in the -80 kg category. At only 23 years of age, he is already part of the history of Italian sport by right, having won the Olympic, world and European titles. Having graduated from high school in his village, since 2019 he has had his training base in Rome, where one day he wants to attend the Faculty of Communication Sciences. In the future, indeed, in addition to starting a family and inspiring new generations, he has a strong desire to become a journalist, so that he can fully communicate to Italians all the secrets of his wonderful sport. For now, however, he is still thirsty for victories and can't wait to appear on the square in Paris 2024 to defend his Olympic title.
